Before you request deletion
- Download any trip receipts, documents, or notes you want to keep. Email privacy@buxe.ng for help.
- Cancelling is final, you will lose access to your account, and we cannot restore trips, ratings, or saved payment methods once deletion is complete.
- If you are a driver, make sure you withdraw any unpaid earnings before you request deletion.
When we complete your request, we will remove:
- Your account profile, name, phone number, email, and profile photo.
- Trip history and location traces tied to your account, where possible.
- In app messages and saved preferences.
- Saved payment methods from our systems, unless held by a payment partner.
Timeline
- We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days.
- After you confirm, we will start the deletion and complete it within 30 days, except where the law or ongoing investigations require we keep certain records.
- If we cannot complete the deletion in 30 days for a valid reason, we will tell you why and give an estimated completion date.
- When deletion is complete, we will send a final confirmation email to the address on file. If you do not receive confirmation within the timeframe above, contact privacy@buxe.ng.
